Numbers do not remember everything. Memos are for the rest of it, and measurements are for the things that change slowly.
The two kinds of memo
Salivihko calls two different things a memo, and it helps to know which is which:
The day memo
One note for a whole day — how you slept, that the gym was packed, that your shoulder hurt. Write it from the "Memo" button on the Workout page, or from the Memos section. There is one per day.
The move memo
A note attached to one logged move, together with its feeling. This is the one that comes back to you: next time you do that move, a button offers you what you wrote last time.
Finding your memos again
The Memos section lists your day memos with their dates, newest first, and you can sort by any column. Days with a memo are also highlighted in the calendar on the Workout page, alongside the days you trained.
Measurements
Measurements track anything that is a number over time and has nothing to do with a single move: body weight, waist, resting heart rate.
Create a category with a name and a unit — for example kg if you are measuring weight. Then open it and start adding values with their dates. You get a graph and a list of everything you have recorded.
- Decimals take a comma or a full stop, whichever you type.
- Saving a value on a date that already has one replaces it, rather than adding a second. Weighing yourself twice in a morning cannot clutter your graph.
- The unit is free text and only used as a label, so anything you like works.
